Be Seen. Get Hired.
No matter how well a resume is written, a text only document can not communicate all of the ‘soft skills’ – the key business skills of a candidate.
Less than 20% of all applicants ever get to the interview stage, and never get the chance to fully convey their adaptability, leadership, motivation, grit, work ethic and communication skills – their key business value.
Employers miss out on potentially excellent candidates, and candidates never connect with a terrific employer.
IntroVideo provides the opportunity for the candidate to communicate their unique business value and make a great first impression before the interview, at scale on a variety of platforms.
We give them the competitive advantage to connect with a recruiter or employer, communicate their value, control the narrative, and stand out from their competition.
At IntroVideo.biz, we help job candidates craft a career branding message, film this message in a coached session, and give them the tools to communicate their message on their LinkedIn or other profile, on their own branding page, and as part of a signature on their networking emails or cover letter.
And we can do this at scale, at a competitive price for post-grad academic programs, underserved community programs, individual job candidates and business professionals.
What we are and what we are not: We see a real need to be an advocate for the job candidate. Many companies position themselves as the next great hiring or talent finding jobs platform. That is not who we are. We do not compete in the jobs platform space and against established players (Indeed, Monster etc), rather our product is candidate focused – not employer focused. In that way we are unique. We have positioned our final product to be platform agnostic and therefore it plays nice with a variety of platforms including LinkedIn. We look to add value to the candidate, and by extension, add value for the recruiter and employer looking for the right candidate, and also for job platforms, who can provide greater insight to the candidate for their clients.
Another key point is that our main product – an introvideo personal branding video™, is not a video resume. We believe there is a place for a traditional text resume. Boring as it may be, it is an established form of evaluating candidates used universally because it delivers a structured set of data regarding experience, hard skills, and other metrics. What a traditional resume can not do well is deliver immediate insight into a candidate’s core business and transferrable skills AKA, soft skills, like adaptability, motivation, grit, leadership, energy, values, decision making skills and communication skills. What an introvideo does, is provide the viewer, an HR manager, recruiter or potential employer, an insight into the question to ‘Tell me about yourself’ which is really, ‘Tell me what you can do this organization’. But as importantly, we let the candidate control the narrative and let them convey ‘who they are, what they do and the value they bring to an organization’. Additionally, the candidate communicates this before the interview, before other candidates get an opportunity to speak, and if used as part of their career branding assets, they communicate this to a quantity of HR professionals, increasing their exposure and making a great first impression.
IntroVideo is not a product, it is a process. For those candidates and professionals who are not media savvy, we make it easy for them to 1. develop and craft their branding message. 2. film that message with a media coach. 3. have that footage quickly edited down, organized, add graphics and titling, and get several versions of the final video. In addition, we make it easy to use the video. They get tools to use the video: customizable branding page with vanity URL, customizable email signature, photo headshots, and links to the assets.
From the business perspective, we have developed this process to produce repeatable quality results with minimal labor and overhead. We are continuously refining the process to achieve maximum efficiency. To that end, we have automated the greatest labor need part of the process, the video editing. We have developed a patent-pending cloud based process which eliminates the ~2 hour manual editing time. Other sections of the process are being revised with AI and other techniques.
The net result of these efforts is to have a low labor cost, highly scalable process that we can offer in several languages at an affordable price point with substantial margins.
